Dingalan 20180516
From the southernmost municipality of the Aurora province, facing the Pacific ocean and surrounded by the mountains of Sierra Madre, with a viewing horizon of General Nakar in Quezon is the town of Dingalan. My journey started right after replacing the front shock of my 27 year old vehicle to its original look to assault a long 244 kilometer journey from Antipolo to Dingalan feeder port. It took me roughly 4 hours of travel to sniff and feel the freshness of the pacific and to witness my very first ever sunrise view of Dingalan.

My colleague and i took a quick breakfast just across the feeder port in Barangay Paltic, there you can select different pinoy style dishes like the steaming hot lugaw (pinoy congee), pancit and all the variety of silogs. Right after we empty our plates, we meet up with Yuan Grande a local tour guide to assist us within our itinerary. Unfortunately, Yuan has a local tourism seminar to attend, so he immediately looks for kuya Alex to replace him.

Before we head onto the white beach, we choose to buy our food and water supplies at a small market (talipapa) near the port. By the way there will be a 50php/head environmental fee when going to the white beach and the 15 - 20 minute boat ride will cost tourists 800php for a two way round trip and additional 200php for an overnight stay.

Dingalan will offer you a scenic place to stay and relax. It has its famous view deck where you can have the vantage to witness the panoramic view of the entire coastal area and its lighthouse. You can beach hopping and visit the treacherous Lamao caves, Pulong Diablo where you can see beautiful rock formations and dip into the deep death pool of Suha.

We did an overnight stay to capture stars, luckily we saw an opening to compose for a milky way shot. It was my first time to capture it within my lens and with the help of star walk 2 app we were able to locate the formation of the milky way. It was 10:00 pm when we did the ocular and took us for almost a kilometer walk just to find a good vantage. The formation started at around 1:00 am and we were fortunate to witness the show for an hour. The following morning we head on to Dingalan's view deck where everyone can enjoy the panoramic view of the coastal area.
